Gwyneth Paltrow apparently isn’t a fan of injectable products, but she does think breast enhancement is worth considering, at least after pregnancy and breast feeding.
A recent article in the German magazine OK! got the scoop on Paltrow’s opinions about cosmetic surgery. She reportedly said that among the popular cosmetic enhancements, Botox and silicone are “gimmicky,” but breast enhancement is a reasonable choice.
The question she posed during the interview reportedly was: “There’s actually nothing else to restore the original condition, isn’t there?”
And her assumption is correct. There is no exercise routine or product that can restore breasts to a youthful state. After having kids, many moms choose a breast lift or breast augmentation to get back that perky position and volume.
A breast lift works by tightening the breast tissue, thereby elevating the breast and nipple to a more youthful position. There are different way to accomplish this. The doctor typically makes an incision around the nipple and areola, which travels down toward the breast crease.
Restoring breast fullness through breast augmentation is a common way to improve a woman’s “post-baby” body. Patients have the choice between saline or silicone filled implants, which come in different sizes to perfectly match body proportions.
More than a few moms in Paltrow’s situation have turned to a package of cosmetic surgery procedures that surgeons are marketing as the “mommy makeover.” These procedures work to slim down the tummy, while lifting and augmenting the breasts. Results are dramatic, and can help a new mom feel confident about her body.
