Ultherapy® in Portland & Lake Oswego

Ultherapy is a leading non-invasive skin tightening and lifting treatment that uses ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen production deep within the skin. FDA-cleared to treat sagging and loose skin, Ultherapy effectively lifts and firms the face, neck, chin, and brow areas without the need for surgery or downtime. It’s also a popular treatment to rejuvenate the décolletage, helping clients achieve a more youthful appearance in a natural way.

What to Expect During Your Ultherapy Treatment

  1. Consultation: During your initial consultation at our Lake Oswego medspa, we will discuss your goals, evaluate your skin, and ensure Ultherapy is the right fit for you.
  2. Treatment: A handpiece is applied to the skin, delivering focused ultrasound energy to targeted areas. Ultrasound imaging allows for precise targeting, optimizing results and patient comfort.
  3. Post-Treatment: Ultherapy requires no downtime. You may experience mild redness or tenderness, which typically subsides within a few hours to a day.

Results and Recovery

  • Recovery: There’s minimal downtime, allowing you to resume normal activities right away.
  • Results: Gradual improvements become noticeable within 2-3 months, as collagen builds in treated areas. Full results appear over the next 3-6 months, with a firmer, lifted look that can last up to a year or longer.

Frequency Of Treatments

The best thing about Ultherapy is that most patients only need one treatment! Depending on how much laxity you have and how your body responds, you may need more.

Results can last for up to 1-2 years, so an annual appointment may be necessary to extend results.

Pre/Post Treatment Instructions

Avoid Excessive Heat: For 2 days post-treatment, avoid partaking in activities that will heat up your skin, such as going in a hot tub/Jacuzzi/sauna, or strenuous exercise.

Skin Care Products: All of your skin care products should be non-irritating and non-clogging for the first week. Please do not use any scrubs, toners, glycolic acid, retinoids (RetinA or retinol), or bleaching creams (hydroquinone) until your skin has healed.

Sunscreen: Proper and frequent application of sunscreen is very important. The sunscreen should offer broadband protection (UVA and UVB) and have a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or more. You should apply sunscreen 20 minutes before going outside, and again, immediately before. After that, reapply your sunscreen every 2 hours. If direct sun exposure is necessary, wear a hat and clothing that covers the treated area. Use this regimen during the healing period and always.

“I love what I do. Surgery, like sculpture or acrylic painting, is so creative. When it all comes together, it’s amazing!”
